This Privacy Policy explains how Amerikos LLC ("Kris Amerikos," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Kris Amerikos website at krisamerikos.com and the courses, programs, memberships, lessons, communities, and related services offered through it (collectively, the "Services"). "You" means any visitor, student, member, or other user of the Services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where required by law, we rely on the lawful bases and consents described below. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
Summary / Notice at Collection
At or before the point of collection, we want you to understand the following:
- We collect identifiers, account and profile data, payment and transaction data, communications (including community posts, chat, and direct messages), audio/video lesson recordings and transcripts, usage and device data, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- We collect this information to provide our courses and lessons, schedule and deliver live and recorded learning, process payments, operate our communities, provide support, ensure safety and security, comply with law, and improve the Services.
- We disclose personal information to service providers (such as our website/checkout host, payment processors, video providers, cloud hosting, and analytics) as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We retain personal information for the periods described in "Data Retention."
- You have rights over your personal information, including access, correction, and deletion, as described in "Your Privacy Rights."
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
- Identifiers and account data: name, username, email address, telephone number, password (stored as a hash), and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier.
- Profile data: biography/headline, avatar, time zone, language preference, learning goals and level, and approximate country/region/city.
- Payment and transaction data: purchases, subscriptions, memberships, payment plans, and limited billing information. Card and bank details are collected and processed directly by our checkout host and payment processors (see "How We Share Information"); we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications and user content: community posts, news-feed activity, group and direct messages, support requests, reviews, testimonials, and any content you submit.
- Lesson recordings and related content: audio and video recordings of live lessons, transcripts, and in-meeting chat logs (see "Lesson Recordings").
- Usage and device data: pages and content viewed, lessons attended, activity on the platform, referral URLs, IP address (which we may store in hashed form for analytics), browser and device characteristics, and standard log information.
- Approximate location: derived from your IP address for security, localization, and analytics.
Sources. We collect personal information directly from you (when you register, build a profile, purchase, message, or attend lessons), automatically through your use of the Services, and from third parties such as our checkout host, payment processors, Google (if you connect Google services), and IP-geolocation providers.
Sensitive Personal Information
Certain information we process may be considered "sensitive" under applicable law, including your log-in credentials and the contents of communications. We use such information only to provide and secure the Services, and not to infer characteristics about you. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require us to offer a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" option beyond the choices described below.
How We Use Personal Information
- Create and administer accounts and authenticate users.
- Deliver courses, schedule and run live lessons, and provide recorded and self-study resources.
- Operate our communities (live rooms, group chats, and news feeds) and enable messaging.
- Process payments, subscriptions, memberships, payment plans, and refunds.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Maintain safety, security, and integrity, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Analyze and improve the Services and develop new features.
- Send transactional and service communications and, where permitted, optional updates (you may opt out of non-essential messages).
Lesson Recordings, Transcripts, and Chat
Live lessons on the Services may be recorded (audio and video), and we may generate transcripts and retain in-meeting chat. Recordings support learning review, quality, safety, and dispute resolution. Where a lesson is recorded, we require each participant to consent to being recorded before they are admitted, and we log that consent (including the wording shown, the time, and an irreversible hash of the originating IP address). You will also see a recording indicator in the meeting. If you do not consent, you will not be admitted to the recorded session; the lesson continues and is recorded only for the participants who consented, and you may withdraw consent at any time to leave. Recordings, transcripts, and chat logs are stored with our cloud storage provider and are accessible only to authorized participants and personnel consistent with this Policy.
Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar device-storage technologies for two distinct purposes:
- Strictly necessary (always on): technologies required to sign you in, keep your session secure (including CSRF protection), process payments, and operate core features. These cannot be switched off through the consent banner, and disabling them in your browser may prevent the Services from functioning.
- Optional analytics (consent-based): if you consent, we use analytics to understand how the Services are used and to improve them, including pages and content viewed, time spent, referral URLs, campaign (UTM) parameters, a visitor/session identifier, and an irreversible (salted hash) form of your IP address. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-context behavioral-advertising trackers.
Consent. Optional analytics is off by default where required by law; we present a consent banner and honor your choice. Preference signals. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT). Third-party embeds. Some features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies — for example our website/checkout host (Kajabi), our video providers during live lessons, our payment processors during checkout, and Google for services you connect. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy notices.
How We Share Information
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, only as needed to provide the Services:
- Website and checkout host: Kajabi, which hosts our website, courses, and checkout.
- Payment processors: our payment processors (such as Stripe and PayPal), which collect and process payment information directly under their own agreements.
- Video and meeting providers: our video infrastructure and, where used, third-party video providers, to host and process live lessons.
- Cloud hosting and storage: our hosting provider and cloud storage providers (for recordings, transcripts, and media storage and delivery).
- Google services you connect: such as Google Calendar and Google Sign-In, used to provide the corresponding features.
- Operational service providers: IP-geolocation, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Other users: information you choose to make visible (e.g., profile details, community posts, and messages you send).
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests, to enforce our terms, and to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We require service providers to use personal information only to provide services to us and to protect it.
Google API Services — Limited Use
To the extent we access data from Google APIs, our use and transfer of that data will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use such data only to provide or improve user-facing features (such as scheduling and sign-in), we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we limit human access except as required for security, to comply with law, or with your consent.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for the period required to satisfy our legal, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, and security obligations. As general guidance: account and profile data are retained while your account is active; transaction and payment records are retained as required by financial and tax law; lesson recordings, transcripts, and chat are retained for a limited operational period and then deleted or de-identified; analytics data is retained in aggregated or de-identified form. When personal information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, hashed credentials, and session and CSRF protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and authorities as required by law.
International Data Transfers
We operate in the United States and use service providers located in the United States, the European Union, and elsewhere. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland to countries without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. For more detail, see our Data Protection page.

Children's Privacy — Adults Only (18+)
The Services are intended solely for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Services, and no one under 18 is permitted, with or without parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will close the account and delete the information except where retention is required for legal, safety, or recordkeeping purposes. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected].
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Services or by other means and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
